In the event that an officer needs to raise an alarm and request immediate back-up, activation of the 'AutoAlarm' software feature on the BlackBerry instantly transmits an alarm to the Control Room (or pre-designated contact). Provides details of the officer's location and also allows the Control Room to hear what is happening in the immediate vicinity of the officer, thereby enabling them to further gauge the situation and respond quickly and appropriately.
