CaptureCam

Utilizing the high resolution camera on a BlackBerry device, the CaptureCam software enables an officer to take a photograph of the incident and instantly transmit the image to a secure site for subsequent safe retrieval for evidential purposes. A vital feature of CaptureCam is that at no time are any images ever stored on the actual device.

All images taken using CaptureCam are automatically time stamped and geo-tagged to provide auditable proof of exactly where and when the image was recorded. In addition, CaptureCam records the collar number of the officer that responded to the incident, categorizes the image according to the type of offence, e.g. road traffic accident, domestic violence, knife crime etc. and also allows officers to attach their own comments and notes to the image.

CaptureCam is ideal for capturing and recording the positions of vehicles involved in road traffic accidents so they can be quickly moved to allow other road users to continue their journey with minimal disruption. It is is also perfect for recording images of victims of domestic violence as the unequivocal evidence provided by the software may be invaluable in helping prosecution teams to secure convictions.
